Suddenly the "backspace," "g" and "h" keys stopped working. Due to this issue, I can't log in to use my computer. Well, to get logged in assuming your PC is at least booting up to the Windows Logon screenyou can try to use the On-Screen Keyboard, just click on the Ease of Access button should be on the lower left hand side of the logon screen and put a check mark in the box next to "Type without the keyboard" and select OK. This should bring up the On-Screen Keyboard and allow you to enter your user name and password.
Note that I'm assuming here that you couldn't get logged on because either your user name or password or both uses one of the keys that isn't working. You can find the full procudure in this document:. Testing for Hardware Failures Windows 7, Vista. There is a keyboard test under system tests, it may take a while to get through the test procedure, but it will verify if the keyboard hardware is functional or not.
If the keyboard test all pass, but you still have problems with some keys on the keyboard, check that the keyboard language has not been changed. If some other keyboard is selected, that can cause some weirdness with your keyboard. I am currently logged onto my second laptop. My newest is the one not working properly. It was fine yesterday but the "h" key doesn't work today, either on the laptop keyboard, the on screen keyboard or my wireless keyboard.
The "h" is in my password so I can't log into that laptop. Any suggestions? I've rebooted three times, checked for sticky keys and now I'm beside myself. Please help. I'm guessing that's how it's done? I'm simply just messing about with my keyboard so I may be wrong. Reply With Quote. Originally Posted by NatePsychotic. You'll need to keybind using stuff like your numberpad, then assign your buttons to be used so in actuality you are pressing G3 but G3 is doing Numpad 1, in essence the keyboard can only have soo many keys acknowledged as its keys, the rest utilize the keys out of your normal gaming range.
Last edited by NatePsy; at PM. Yeah I finally figured that out after 10 minutes of messing around with functions. This is actually my first time keybinding seriously, trying to move away from clicking! I've only used G-Keys specifically for my defensive CD's and I'm familiarizing myself with them very quickly, since I'm a Death Knight that would be AMS, IB, Ghoul Heal, Remorseless and Death's Embrace, my main abilities I use my mouse for since I have a Naga, I'm trying to get used to the side-buttons on my mouse for my main abilities, but don't get me wrong keybinds are great and I use them myself, 2 for interrupts and another 2 for Death Grip and Chain's of Ice, I just don't want to make it difficult on my remembering of patterns and I've found this way to be easier for me, I tried keybinding but I just couldn't get past more than three modifiers.
I'm aware G-Keys may not be the usual bindings, but they're working for me I'm not a heavy PvP'er so all sorts of Macros are not likely to be made for me.Keep in touch and stay productive with Teams and Officeeven when you're working remotely.
